You will have the opportunity to learn about agroforestry through tours of on-farm research plots and demonstration areas, presentations from local producers and researchers, and interactions with specialty perennial crop vendors, conservation and forestry organizations, and other educational booths. This event is free and open to the public.
The festival is enjoyable for the whole family! You can look forward to:
- Samples of freshly roasted, Missouri-grown chestnuts and other nuts
- Demonstrations & presentations on tree crop suitability
- Kids activities
- Live music
- Wagon ride tours of the farm
- Food, art and native plant sales
- Displays & sales of Missouri specialty agricultural products
- Self-guided tours of the Historic Hickman House, a 200-year old restored interpretive home at the farm
