Dear Friends & Colleagues,

I hope my message finds you well. We hope your semester is going well. I would like to invite you to join the Africa Hub for a Round Table Discussion this evening. Come help us welcome our MU Alumni.

We are hosting Clement Pfingu. She has a MS from MU in 2011. Her thesis was titled “Determinants of Child Malnutrition in the Democratic Republic of the Congo”. She has been working to improve the nutrition of women and children in Congo.

She is coming to Columbia this week to visit and we are hosting a round table discussion to learn about what she is working on in Congo. We will host the discussion in the Language Lab Wednesday 11/14 4-5 pm. We are located in room 36 in the basement of the Arts & Science building.

We will have refreshments. Please join us and share our invitation with other Africanists (students, staff, and faculty).

Our special guests and Round Table Discussion leaders will be: Clement Pfingu, 2011 MS grad, Agricultural and Applied Econ at MU and Gloria Mangoni Ndindir, MS student Rural Sociology, MU

Topic: “Need for disaggregated data for policy intervention in DRC”.
