This year and next are critical years for schools and school districts as the “hold harmless” provisions of the Annual Performance Report (APR) may expire. This, along with ongoing instructional improvement responsibilities, is why it is essential that all school leaders have a good understanding of the DESE APR and its impact on improvement planning as well as public relations and communication with the staff, students, parents, and the community.
The Hook Center for Educational Renewal is teaming with Jay Reese, DESE State Area Supervisor, to provide training for school leaders who would like to better understand their DESE Annual Performance Report.
Please share this information with all individuals with any level of responsibility for performance improvement in your school or district.
• All data used to determine APR scores will be addressed, and specific strategies for improving APR will be included in the training
• In preparation for this training, please print and bring your current school and district APRs and supporting data
• Leadership teams encouraged to attend
