Friday, Nov. 16 from 12 -1 p.m. stop by Ketcham Auditorium for the first seminar in the COE Interdisciplinary Research Seminar Series. Come listen to two new College of Engineering faculty talk about their passion for research and the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration. Dr. Binbin Wang, an assistant professor of the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department, combines fluid dynamic problems with environmental systems to bring us Observation and Modeling of Fluid Motion in Environmental Systems at Scales from Millimeters to Kilometers. Our second speaker, Dr. Amir H. Alavi, is an assistant professor of the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department, whose focus is on multidisciplinary research regarding smart cities, Building Smart Civil Infrastructure for the Next Generation of Smart Cities.
