For the Kinder Institute’s inaugural James E. Fleming & Linda C. McClain Constitution Day Lecture, University of Texas Professor of Government Gary Jacobsohn will take a comparative approach in tracing the U.S. Supreme Court’s equivocal reliance on constitutional principles back to the compromised circumstances of the American founding with respect to the nation’s original sin of slavery. Prof. Jacobsohn’s lecture will be held on September 17 at 5:30pm in Jesse Hall 410.
