Focus on Africa will take place October 9th at 6 pm in Strickland Hall room 210 on the campus of the University of Missouri. Co-hosted with International Programs, Afro-Romance Institute, Black Studies, AGPSA & Africa Hub.
Africa Hub is delighted to announce our esteemed guest speaker: Dr. Alassane Abdoulaye Dia. He is an Assistant Professor of English at the Université Numérique Cheikh Hamidou KANE(ex-UVS), Senegal. He holds a Ph.D. in English and Comparative Literature with over 13 years of experience of teaching English at the University.
The title of his presentation: "Integrating Pan-African Heritage into Educational Curricula for a United Future'
You are cordially invited to attend a presentation and discussion event. For the 9th year in a row, we are continuing with the theme of FOCUS ON AFRICA. The purpose of the discussion is to encourage scholars with international interests to meet each other, stimulate each other’s thinking, and potentially lead to the creation of a broader research network and joint scholarship. Topics across the year are chosen to highlight the intersection among multiple disciplinary perspectives with a common geographical focus.
This annual event is sponsored by the MU African Interdisciplinary Studies Hub, African Graduate Professional Student Association, Black Studies, Peace Studies, Afro-Romance Institute, International Programs and CAFNR International Programs.
