Foundations are nongovernmental, nonprofit organizations with funds and programs managed by trustees or directors that award grants for projects, programs and research.
This session will introduce participants to Mizzou’s Foundation Relations office and cover foundation basics, the differences between public and private funding and key resources for those seeing foundation grants. It's a great opportunity for anyone interested in applying to a specific foundation or thinking about pursuing foundation funding in the future.
The session will be led by Foundation Relations’ Executive Director for Advancement Donna Van Pelt and Senior Director for Advancement Marissa Todd. Combined, they have more than 40 years of experience in higher education fundraising.
