Through developing a 21st century classroom, attendees will explore various Web 2.0 tools that will help teachers incorporate engaging, differentiated, formative, and critical thinking learning opportunities in the classroom for all students. Attendees will be exposed to a variety of Web 2.0 tools and educational applications and pedagogy that promote engagement while increasing student skills in the content areas. Many formative assessment technological resources will be shared and examples given to assist teachers in guiding instruction. Web resources and educational applications will be shared and discussed to help teachers differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners. Also included are possible “look-fors”, for building administrators and teacher evaluators, on what effective technology integration should look like. Teachers and administrators will leave with many ideas and strategies to assist students in moving from consumers of knowledge to creators and producers of their own learning.
