All Missouri educators are invited to join us for an introductory session on dyslexia. In response to changes within our state, this workshop is designed to provide information for educators as they support students with dyslexia. Discussion will include the myths related to dyslexia, characteristics, a simulation, aspects of screening, and important instructional components. Kim Stuckey, DESE Director of Dyslexia, will provide an update for Missouri districts.
This is the first of four sessions that will be provided this year, with the second session scheduled for December 5. Second semester dates will be announced at a later time.
Presenter: Kim Stuckey, Director-Dyslexia Specialist, Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education
