This 90-minute in-person workshop, hosted by MU Extension, will introduce university researchers to grant opportunities for technology startup companies, such as Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grants. This introductory workshop was developed for researchers with startups (or considering whether to found one) and those who are new to SBIR/STTR funding; it is not a “how-to-apply” session..

This workshop also will offer specific directions on how to search research topics at various government agencies to determine if grants are available for your unique technology. In addition, participants will receive a list of resources for assistance on how to apply for an SBIR/STTR grant.
