https://garden.missouri.edu/The Mizzou Botanic Garden invites you to an evening on November 13, 2025, at Bush Auditorium in Cornell Hall, featuring Bill Quade, Director of Gardens and Grounds at the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC.
Quade will offer insights into managing one of America's most iconic estates and will share the story of the Biltmore's swift recovery from Hurricane Helene, which impacted North Carolina on September 27, and how the estate transitioned seamlessly into the holiday season by November 1.
In addition to the lecture, guests can participate in a silent auction featuring an original print by artist Jenny McGee, who will be onsite for photos and signings, as well as a pair of self-watering outdoor planters with soil. The Mizzou Store will also host a table with Mizzou Botanic Garden merchandise, and attendees will have the opportunity to meet Bill Quade during a book signing and photo session.
This event is open to the public, and donations support the continued care and maintenance of the gardens.
