https://anthromuseum.missouri.edu/eventsJoin us for our October Learning Lounge Lecture "The Cross-Cultural Use of Poison by Hunter-Gatherers" presented by Niko Tapia, University of Missouri. Humans creatively and practically use the resources around them to assist in their survival, and poison is a prime example of this. Hunter-gatherers employ their deep knowledge of the landscape and use poisonous substances from local flora and faunal materials to efficiently hunt and fish. Niko Tapia will share research that shows poison use is not a localized technology, but widespread cross culturally.
