The MU Fellowships Office invites you to attend this session to learn about applying for the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship (NSF GRF). If you are a senior or a graduate student in your first or second year of graduate study pursuing graduate work in a GRFP-supported field, you are highly encouraged to attend this session.

The National Science Foundation aims to ensure the vitality of the human resource based in biological science, technology, engineering, mathematics, physical science, earth science, and social science in the United States and to reinforce its diversity by offering approximately 1,000 graduate fellowships in this competition. The Graduate Research Fellowship provides three years of support for graduate study leading to research-based master’s or doctoral degrees and is intended for students who are at the early stages of their graduate study.

Recent MU graduates who have received the NSF GRFP have gone onto study at the University of California-Berkeley, Dartmouth, Georgia Tech, Michigan State, Northwestern, Stanford, and Washington University.
