Assistant Professor; Associate Director, CARTER Center for K12 Black History Education

Dr. Woodson will discuss her research on how eight black teenagers made sense of the term “civil rights leader,” the assumptions that supported their sense-making, and reveals tension between black activism and the civic identities of participants.
