Assistant professors from Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis
There is a noticeable gap between espoused and enacted values around equity and diversity in postsecondary education. While institutions speak about the importance of these issues, dedication is less visible. Institutional effectiveness, institutional research, and assessment professionals have an opportunity to make good on the promise of creating more socially just and inclusive learning environments for students. We will discuss using assessment and evaluation data to support diverse student constituencies, and supplementing data collection and analysis strategies with designs that show promise for promoting inclusion.
