Research Discussion: A Lens Into Her Soul: Black Girls, Self-Image, and the Media

This talk will feature a screening of the documentary film, "The Souls of Black Girls" followed by a conversation about the media representation of women and girls of color with Director/Producer Daphne Valerius. Within this talk, Ms. Valerius will also discuss how this body of work continues to inform her research as a doctoral student in the School of Communication.
