This presentation describes an investigation that determines how place-based contentious environmental issues (CEI) instruction focusing on wolf reintroduction in Yellowstone National Park impacted secondary students’ nature of science views (e.g., how ecologists research) and pro-environmental engagement (e.g., empathy for nature impacted by CEI).
