The College of Education's office of Graduate Student Services and Initiatives is offering a two-day writing retreat from on July 16-17, 2019.
DAY 1: Three two-hour sessions
SESSION 1 is focused on strategies for breaking the inner editor that keeps us from producing the volume of writing necessary for burgeoning academics.
SESSION 2 features a discussion of voice—what voice is, what sorts of voice are appropriate in situations—and an exploration of literature reviews.
SESSION 3 teaches writers how to engage in REAL revision (rather than mere editing).
DAY 2: Quiet writing time with writing conferences available
FREE! Breakfast, lunch, and snack provided
WHAT TO BRING:
A paper (or part of a paper) recently written for class and/or publication AND a work in progress.
