WHAT:

On Friday, Oct. 9, the University of Missouri is holding its annual canned food drive, Tiger Food Fight, organized by MU’s Homecoming Steering Committee. In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, which has put increased strains on health, finances and food security for many in the community, MU is encouraging the people of Columbia and Boone County to donate canned food in support of those in need. All donations will go to Tiger Pantry and the Food Bank for Central and Northeast Missouri. Last year, about 35,000 pounds of food was collected.

This year, the canned food drive will operate in a drive-thru fashion to facilitate social distancing. Those who wish to donate can drop off canned food in the circle drive in front of Reynolds Alumni Center on the MU campus.
