Bonnie Moradi is Professor of Psychology and Director of the Center for Gender, Sexualities, and Women’s Studies Research at UF. Dr. Moradi’s research focuses on discrimination, objectification, and collective identity. This research examines the nature of these experiences, their implications for psychosocial functioning (e.g., health, work), and their intersections across axes of inequality (e.g., heterosexism, racism, sexism).
Dr. Moradi has received national awards including the APA Society for the Psychological Study of LGBT Issues Distinguished Scientific Contribution Award, APA Committee on Women in Psychology Leadership Award, the Association for Women in Psychology Florence Denmark Distinguished Mentoring Award, and The Counseling Psychologist Outstanding Major Contribution Award for Research with LGB People of Color.
