Join us for a discussion of art, creative processes and cultural influences with the jurors from the 2021 Visual Art & Design Showcase, moderated by Professor Marc Vital, Department of Theatre.

Damon Davis - is an award-winning, post-disciplinary artist who works and resides in St. Louis. In a practice that is part therapy, part social commentary, his work spans a spectrum of creative mediums to tell stories exploring how identity is informed by power and mythology.

Yatika Starr Fields - is an Artist with emphasis on studio paintings and large-scale Murals. He is from Oklahoma and a member of the Osage, Cherokee and Muscogee Creek Nations and currently living and working in Tulsa as a fellow with the Tulsa Artist Fellowship.

Katherine Pill - is curator of contemporary art at the Museum of Fine Arts, St. Petersburg, Florida, which is an encyclopedic institution. As the first curator at the MFA to focus on modern and contemporary art, she has worked diligently to bring new ideas, artists and programming to diverse audiences.

The 2021 Visual Art & Design Showcase has 31 undergraduate student projects in an array of disciplines and mediums.
People's Choice Voting is open until April 21st, winner to be announced during the closing ceremony of Undergraduate Week at Mizzou.

The winners of the jury selected awards, campus sponsored awards, and community sponsored awards will be announced on Thursday, March 25th. And these selected projects will be on display in the South Gallery of the Columbia Art League, April 19th - 24th, 2021.
