There are half a million new cases of pancreatic cancer diagnosed each year, and the majority are discovered at an advanced stage. With current therapy options, only three to eight percent of advanced pancreatic cancer patients will be alive five years later.
Join us for a free event at noon on Tuesday, Nov. 7 featuring Dr. Chiswili Yves Chabu, an MU Biological Sciences researcher who is using a unique bacteria-based agent to break through the fibrous barrier of pancreatic cancer cells and activate nearby immune cells to target the cancer. The goal of his research is to achieve durable results and prevent relapse for patients who currently have very limited options.
Be part of the conversation with leading edge health researchers at the November installment of the NextGen Discovery Series!
