University Village
The George Washington Carver Garden project is hosting a Community Garden Workday at University Village, Saturday, December 9, 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. FREE lunch provided afterwards!
Enjoy time outside before you study inside all weekend for finals! Projects include building raised beds, laying mulch and mixing compost to start building what will become the Henry Kirklin Community Garden, a communal garden space for all MU students and their families that aims to educate beginning and advanced gardeners alike, provide access to healthy and homegrown food, and encourage students from all backgrounds to work towards an equitable food system. No matter what you look like, everybody eats, so let’s eat and grow together!
Please dress for the weather, and wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. For your safety, wear close-toed shoes. PLEASE NO FLIP-FLOPS or SANDALS.
