For the first of two Constitution Week lectures hosted by the Kinder Institute, TCU Professor of History Gene Smith will give a September 21 talk in Mumford Hall 133 (5:30 PM) on how the tumultuous process of incorporating Louisiana and Missouri into the Union exposed questions and issues that the nation would continue to face as it pushed its borders westward.
