This training program is designed to provide in-depth training for beginning-level special education teachers of grades K-12. The program will address areas of critical need for all types of beginning-level special education teachers including resource teachers, self-contained classroom teachers, co-teachers, etc.

• Participants will attend three meetings throughout the school year.

• During the training, participants will not only increase their existing knowledge, but will gain new knowledge about a variety of topics and have access to a peer support group.

• Eligible participants must be beginning teachers or have less than two years of special education teaching experience and be employed by a school district or agency located in or near the Hook Center for Educational Renewal.
