John is a distinguished advocate in the disabilities community, co-founder of the ADA, attorney, and outstanding speaker.  He was born without limbs and began wearing artificial limbs when 3 years old. At age 10, Kemp was chosen to serve as the national poster child for Easter Seals. More than 50 years later, John D Kemp oversees a combined $25 million annual budget and 355 employees at The Viscardi Center. The Center provides a lifespan of services that educate, employ and empower people with disabilities. Its programs and services include Kindergarten through High School education, school-to-work transition services, vocational training, career counseling and placement and workforce diversification assistance to children, adolescents, and adults with disabilities and businesses.
