Add to calendarWhen STEM instruction is connected to students’ backgrounds, identities, language, and culture, students can develop mastery of content by writing about science in culturally meaningful ways. In this session, we will examine how language and culture matter for developing effective science literacy. Participants will utilize an equity framework to reflect, evaluate, and develop culturally responsive writing instruction for their STEM classrooms.
