Abstract: We introduce mathematical modeling techniques commonly found in the microcirculation literature. Emphasis is given to blood flow and oxygen diffusion simulations, which are motivated by a discussion of the disease Retinopathy of Prematurity. We present techniques that are designed to scale to large domains.
