In this four-week series of drop-in sessions participants will be provided with a comfortable safe space to experience relaxing guided meditations while learning skills to calm and soothe oneself in the face of stress or turbulent emotions. No experience necessary, appropriate for those with and without a mindfulness practice.

Instructor: Christopher Lee Shannon
Christopher Lee Shannon has been teaching mindfulness and meditation for the University of Missouri and in the surrounding community since 2016. Highlighting the importance of compassion and appreciation in his teachings, he believes in the potential of mindfulness to create a framework for meeting the joys and sorrows of life with greater awareness, kindness and presence. He has received training in trauma sensitive methods from mentors and within the Mindfulness & Meditation Teacher Certification Program of UC Berkeley's Greater Good Science Center & the Awareness Training Institute.
