Join us for “Function of the oviduct during pregnancy establishment & the discovery of a novel contraceptive method" a keynote presentation by Dr. Wipawee (Joy) Winuthayanon, School of Medicine MizzouForward faculty candidate.  Dr. Winuthayanon will present on her research for approximately 40-minutes with a 20-minute question and answer session to follow.

 

Dr. Winuthayanon is an Associate Professor with tenure in the School of Molecular Biosciences-College of Veterinary Medicine at Washington State University.  She completed her Ph.D. and

Bachelor of Nursing Science (Second Class Honors) from Mahidol University, Bangkok, Thailand.

 

Dr. Winuthayanon’s research is focusing on women’s reproductive health. Therefore, the current research project aims to decipher roles of hormonal regulation in the oviduct during fertilization, pre-implantation embryo development, and embryo transport using genetically engineered mouse models. She is also developing a novel on-demand non-hormonal contraceptive method for women by blocking semen liquefaction process.
