Join us for “The role of food in promoting healthy aging” a keynote presentation by Dr. Candida Rebello, School of Medicine MizzouForward faculty candidate. Dr. Rebello will present on her research for 40-minutes with a 20-minute question and answer session to follow.
Dr. Candida Rebello is a registered dietitian who is trained in basic and clinical research which allows her to adopt a highly collaborative transdisciplinary approach in the conduct of nutrition research. In September 2020, she received a K99/R00 career transition award from the National Institute on Aging to determine if nutritional modulation of peripheral insulin action affects outcomes in the brain. Her interest in the culinary aspects of food complements her passion for exploring its therapeutic value.
Dr. Rebello earned her M.S. degree in Human Nutrition and Ph.D. in Nutrition and Food Science from Louisiana State University.
