"Pompeii and the Aqua Augusta: a Multiscalar GIS Approach to Understanding Ancient Water Use" presented by NAGPRA Coordinator for the MU Museum of Anthropology, Jessica N. Totsch,

 

RPA Totsch’s disseration research focuses on the use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to understand urbanization and water use in Roman-period Pompeii, Italy. She has conducted fieldwork in both Pompeii and Sicily, Italy, as well as having experience in Cultural Resource Management in Missouri and Texas. She will be discussing her research and its applications.
