Join the History Department for "Pink Collar: Mary Kay Cosmetics and the Creation of a Female Values-Based Company" a lecture by Dr. Cassandra Yacovazzi on Monday Oct. 14, 4:30 p.m. in Leadership Auditorium, Mizzou Student Center.
This talk will explore how Mary Kay tapped into a labor force of women, including working class and women of color, monetizing their existing social networks and raises important questions about the needs and concerns of women workers, the influence of virtue-signaling in business, and the legacy of multi-level-marketing.
