Join us for a conversation with Visiting Scholar Dr. Abadio Green on exploring What is Ancestral Knowledge? Dr. Green belongs to the indigenous community Gunadule, of Mayan ancestry, located between Panama and Colombia. He is theologian and philosopher of the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana, UPB, Medellín, Colombia. Magister in Ethnolinguistics at the Universidad de los Andes, Bogotá, Colombia, and Doctor of Education, with emphasis in Intercultural Studies at the University of Antioquia, Medellín, Colombia. His research focuses on ancestral knowledges: The mother tongue, as a trace of the ancestors, the Mother Earth Pedagogy, and the History and ancestral thinking of the Gunadule People. Meet Dr. Green in advance of his public talk on Tuesday, November 19, 6:30pm to 7:30pm in Bush Auditorium in Cornell Hall.
