SHP: Preparing for Medical School: Becoming a Competitive Applicant and Making the Most of a Gap Year Experience
Tuesday, November 9, 2021 6pm to 7pm
About this Event
If you’re a college student pursuing the pre-med track with goals of attending medical school, then you might be wondering about what all it takes to get there. The good news is, you don’t have to be perfect to get into medical school. But the reality is, it takes a lot of work and you will need to be prepared. Medical school programs screen their applicants thoroughly and have become increasingly more selective, and for good reason: to ensure those who are admitted are qualified and committed to the profession.
To engage in a discussion about how to best position yourself as a strong candidate for medical school, please join Dr. Sara O’Neal and Dr. Lisa Pierce from Washington University in St. Louis – School of Medicine and Maraya Camazine, Fourth-year Medical Student at University of Missouri – Columbia on November 9 from 6-7pm via Zoom.
