SHP: ScribeAmerica: Benefits of Medical Scribing in Your Gap Year Virtual Session
Tuesday, February 15, 2022 6pm to 7pm
About this Event
Medical scribes can be described as “documentation assistants” who transcribe information into a patient’s electronic health record (EHR) under the supervision of a physician. Scribing is great for students or graduates who are taking a gap year to prepare for medical school, a physician assistant program, and other health-related academic programs. Scribes will gain invaluable experience collaborating with physicians, learning medical terminology and using medical technology. Join Talent Acquisition Manager, Tara Wade, to learn more about this profession at ScribeAmerica!

“A background in Medical Scribing is quickly becoming the standard for pre-medical experience, and is suggested by medical school acceptance committees across the country. The competition to become a Medical Scribe is intense, and the demand for Medical Scribe services across the country has never been higher.” – Scribe America Fact Sheet located @ https://missouri.joinhandshake.com/edu/employers/12354
