In our busy lives, it can be easy to focus so much on getting things done that we lose sight of what gives our lives meaning.  On Friday, November 11, 2022, Mizzou Law alum Jerry Thompson (’98) will be here on campus to share his personal story of how mindfulness practice has transformed how he engages in his life and work.  Through more than two decades' experience in international business consulting and serving as a senior executive of a Fortune 100 company, Jerry has had the opportunity to live and work in a variety of different cultures and observe how our priorities and practices shape our experiences.

In the midst of a global pandemic and dramatic shift in how and where work is performed, Jerry has created a health and life coaching business through which he is empowering institutions to create meaningful change in the way people work together and engage with each other, with an emphasis on reconnection and authenticity.

Informed by wisdom from Eastern and Western traditions, Jerry will discuss a variety of tools that we can use to learn more about ourselves so that we can better manage times of stress, find courage in challenges, and connect to our sense of purpose.
