For graduate and undergraduate students: Learn about experimental design and power analyses! A lecture will cover a range of topics essential to proper experimental design, including the importance of appropriate sample sizes and how to estimate whether you will collect enough data for your study. We will then use R to simulate data, learn about loops, and calculate power and sample size needs for a range of statistical models commonly used in wildlife and fisheries research! Basic experience with R is recommended.
